You probably don’t think much about this when you’re at the supermarket. However, it is important to ensure you have the right toothbrush for better oral health. There are a few main things about choosing your toothbrush.
1) Bristle type
Soft/medium/hard? We highly recommend soft bristles its the most comfortable and safe choice. Medium and hard bristles may damage your gums and protective tooth enamel. Also, try to get bristles with a rounded tips as they are aid in teeth protection.
2) Brush size
If you can , use toothbrushes with a smaller brush head. They enable you to brush with more flexibility. The standard sizes are about 1” long and 0.5” wide.
3) Manual or powered?
Powered toothbrushes and manual toothbrushes are no better than each other. What’s more important is what motivates you to brush regular. Powered toothbrushes are good if you have uneven teeth surfaces or arthritis that make brushing more challenging.
